Family holidays in Cornwall and Devon are set to become more adventurous following the launch of a mixed reality treasure-hunt, based on the animated pre-school TV show Pip Ahoy!, in an innovative scheme designed to help families to embrace local culture.

A breakthrough partnership between location-based experiences platform, Landmrk, and the renowned production studio, CHF Entertainment, will see families able to unlock their favourite Pip Ahoy! characters, character selfies and selfie-filters by travelling to hotspots on a bespoke Pip Ahoy! branded map.

Hotspots are located in towns across Cornwall and Devon; such as Exeter, Penzance, Falmouth, Padstow, St Ives and Newquay. Families can access the map by clicking on the link to take part: pipahoytrail.com

In addition to digital treasures, travelling to hotspots also generates a discount code into attractions or reductions off food and drinks. Local businesses can still sign-up and take part in the scheme. Crealy Adventure Park & Resort in Devon is offering 25% discounted entry to those who can unlock the discount vouchers. The project will run throughout the summer and into the back-end of the year.
