All New Series Of Pip Ahoy Sets Sail On ITVBe’s Brand New Pre-School Block

Hit pre-school animation, Pip Ahoy! produced by CHF Entertainment, is set to premiere its much-anticipated third series exclusively on ITVBe next week, as one of the key launch shows as the channel debuts its brand new dedicated pre-school block, littleBe.

ITVBe has acquired all three seasons of Pip Ahoy! and will broadcast twice daily, Monday to Friday during key broadcast hours (09:00-12:00).

Produced by CHF Entertainment and featuring the voice of British legend, Sir David Jason as Pip’s loveable uncle, Captain Skipper, the brand new 26 x 11’ series will debut on ITVBe from Monday 3rd September.

The show once again follows Pip the pup and his friends Alba, Captain Skipper, Hopper and Pasty on a whole host of exciting new adventures in and around the sunny seaside town of Salty Cove, as they work together to take care of their close-knit community.

In the new episodes, Pip and Alba have lots of fun exploring Salty Cove and for the first time will set sail on some exciting new places inland. They will venture up the River Islands, which so far have remained unexplored, into the woods, mountains and countryside to join the ‘Sprouts’ troupe where they make new friends, earn lots of badges and have fantastic outdoor fun.

Captain Skipper, the shanty singing sea dog gets even busier in the new series as his duties expand from Lighthouse Keeper to Rescue Ranger. Skipper’s new job will not only take him out to sea in the Rubber Duck, but inland in his brand new 4×4 Cove Rover Rescue Vehicle and to his Rescue Ranger cabin in the mountains.

As well as seeing familiar faces, the new episodes will feature some brand new characters including Alan the penguin’s Uncle and cousins, who live on a floating iceberg at the South Pole, and pay a surprise visit to Salty Cove.

Also making their debut will be a feisty female Mouse Pirate who lives on Cheesecake Island, Shirley the Sunflower starfish, Trevor’s cousin, as well as some new little friends Aisha and Amir the fox cubs.

Jenny Johnstone, Commercial Director CHF Media Group: “We are thrilled to announce not only the launch of 26 brand new episodes of Pip Ahoy! but also a brand new home for the show and all 78 episodes with littleBe.  The channels audience demographic makes it a perfect fit for Pip Ahoy! and we very much look forward to being part of the littleBe family.”

Darren Nartey, ITV’s Programme Acquisitions Executive comments: “We are delighted to be bringing the new season of Pip Ahoy! to screens here in the UK. It is a fantastic show and a very welcome addition to the littleBe family.”

The all new third series will bring the total number of episodes to 78. Pip Ahoy first launched in the UK in 2014 to huge acclaim on Channel 5’s Milkshake, the 2D animated show has since been a big hit with parents and pre-school children and also features the vocals of well-known singer and TV presenter, Stacey Solomon on the opening theme tune.

Pip Ahoy! will be broadcast each weekday on ITVBe’s littleBe preschool block from Monday 3rd September at 11:20am.

Other UK broadcast partners for Pip Ahoy! include Cartoonito and YouTube channel Wizz!
