The festive family extravaganza is returning to EventCity for a fifth year and Pip and Alan are bringing Salty Cove back to the event too!

This year it opens its doors on Saturday, 9th December 2017 and tickets are already being snapped up for the event, which promises to be ‘bigger and better’ than ever and Pip Ahoy! is thrilled to be a part of it.

The children’s TV series Pip Ahoy! follows the adventures of Pip and his friends Alba, Hopper and Pasty in their home town of Salty Cove under the watchful eye of Pip’s uncle, Captain Skipper, whose voice is provided by Sir David Jason.

For all of you craving for the return of some warmer weather, the good news is that Salty Cove will be making its way back to Winter Wonderland Manchester this Christmas! Where you can build sandcastles at the beach or take a break and relax in a deck chair on the promenade.

Cuddly pup Pip and his bouncy friend Alan will be at Winter Wonderland making lots of new friends. Pip and Alan will be at the beach area every day so grab a bucket and spade and come down to Salty Cove to meet them, they love making new friends! And for some extra fun share your picture of beach fun with Pip and Alan for your chance to win a Pip Ahoy! prize!

Commercial director of CHF Entertainment Ltd., Jenny Johnstone, said: “Pip and Alan are excited to be bringing some Pip Ahoy! fun back to Winter Wonderland Manchester for Christmas 2017. Christmas is a magical time of year with all the sparkly lights and decorations and the excitement of what Santa is going to deliver on Christmas Day.”

At the heart of the winter wonderland is Santa’s house and there’ll also be real reindeer, as well as elves and fairies.

Legendary children’s TV show Rainbow will be the star attraction of this year’s event. Rainbow’s irrepressible duo Zippy and George promise to bring ‘magic, mayhem and comedy capers’, while the Christmas Circus will putting on daily performances.

Children will have a chance to try out their own circus skills in special workshops and to create their own models in the interactive building block zone.

The event transforms 22,000sq m of EventCity into a ‘sparkling seasonal spectacular’ featuring more than 50 family rides and attractions – with everything included in the one ticket price.

Sessions last for four hours and run at different times on different days with afternoon and evening slots available.

Visitors are being asked to leave a little extra time this season due to security checks on site.

Tickets cost £20.50 for adults and children aged three to 16. Under threes go free.

A family ticket for two adults and two children, or one adult and three children costs £70.
